This past week, we had the pleasure of seeing several of our colleagues participate in the 26th edition of the International Altpapiertag in Berlin. Organized by the esteemed bvse Bundesverband Sekundärrohstoffe und Entsorgung, this event has long been a cornerstone for those involved in secondary raw materials and waste management, and this year was no exception.

Key Highlights of the Event:

  • Insightful Presentations: The conference featured a rich lineup of presentations, each carefully curated to address the pressing issues and emerging trends within our industry. Topics ranged from the latest advancements in recycling technologies to innovative strategies for sustainable resource management. Each session provided deep insights and actionable takeaways, reflecting the event's commitment to driving progress in our field.
  • Valuable Networking Opportunities: One of the most rewarding aspects of Altpapiertag 2024 was the opportunity it provided to reconnect with peers and industry leaders from around the globe. The atmosphere was one of camaraderie and collaboration, with numerous chances to engage in meaningful discussions. Whether catching up with long-time acquaintances or forging new connections, the event served as a hub for knowledge exchange and relationship-building.
  • Fostering a Sense of Community: Beyond the technical discussions, the event was a celebration of the collective spirit that drives our industry. The informal interactions – be it during coffee breaks or at the evening gatherings – were filled with exchange of ideas, shared experiences, and even a few laughs. These moments highlighted the importance of community and the shared responsibility we all have in shaping the future of our industry.

Looking Ahead:

As we reflect on the knowledge and connections gained from Altpapiertag 2024, there’s a palpable sense of excitement about the possibilities that lie ahead. The insights gathered will undoubtedly fuel our ongoing efforts to innovate and improve. This event has once again reinforced the importance of staying connected, informed, and engaged with the broader industry trends.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the organizers, presenters, and all who attended for making Altpapiertag 2024 such a success. We are eager to continue the conversations started here and are already looking forward to the next edition, where we hope to build upon the foundation laid this year.
