2024

Growing and growing

From below 500 loads in the 90s to now 1400 loads a week! This translates to transporting 7000 tons of recyclable materials a day. That’s almost the same weight as the Eiffel Tower!

2009

New building, who this?

In 2009, we relocated our head office from Scheemda to Winschoten! Giving us much needed space to grow. Although, we couldn't leave behind our precious antique paper mill spherical digester, therefore, it now sits at the front of the building.

2000

Crossing the borders!

As rules and regulations become stricter, transporters of valuable materials are finding it harder and more stressful to cross international borders. However, we are licensed to transport materials between (number) borders, this includes Poland, Spain, Indonesia, Italy, the Netherlands (probably more). In addition to this, we have developed a system where we handle our international haulier’s paperwork, making it easier and more efficient for them to transport their cargo across borders.

1999

Modern problems require modern solutions

With a new digital age approaching and the increasing pressure to work quicker and more efficiently, we decide to lift our pens from our log books and move to typing. By digitalising our data we could organise and store more information which allowed us to expand our operations, connecting us with new clients from a variety of different locations.

We’re going Glocal

At WPT, forming meaningful connections with our partners and colleagues is fundamental to our culture. We ensure that our partners have the option to contact us in their own language. In our office, we speak a variety of languages, for example, Polish, German, Dutch, Chinese, and Spanish, though we use English as our primary form of communication. It is important to us that everyone feels comfortable and is able to express themselves fully.

The beginning

In 1994, a new force entered the waste paper industry, grasping at an opportunity to provide greater solutions for the increasing demand for waste paper recycling. Starting in Germany and the Netherlands, we begin our journey to global expansion and forging a more sustainable future.
